The wilds of Dartmoor are calling!

Take on this incredible 13 Tors trek and enjoy Dartmoor hiking at its best. You can take part as a team, a couple, with friends or on your own and navigate your way across 13 of Dartmoor’s iconic Tors, all in one day.

Our Dartmoor charity trek is waiting for you, so grab your walking boots and trek the Tors with us!

What happens on the day?

You’ll start your morning by receiving your map and Tor checkpoint card, before heading out and beginning your 13 Tor adventure, exploring over 14 miles of Dartmoor’s rugged land of myth and legend and the inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyles’ classic Hound of the Baskervilles.

To keep you on track, our expert guides and volunteers will help you make sure you navigate across the moors with ease, until you reach the summit of your thirteenth and final Tor.

From here you’ll return to base where there’s only one way to celebrate such an achievement in the heart of Devon, with a delicious and well earned traditional cream tea!

Every step you take, and every tor you reach, will help provide care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their families.

What support do I get from Marie Curie in advance?

Team Marie Curie wants you to look and feel the part when you’re exploring the great outdoors. So along with your welcome pack, which will contain lots of great fundraising advice and support, you’ll get your breathable high-tech trekking top to wear on the day.

You’ll also receive advice on the kit you’ll need to face the elements, and training advise to make sure you’re in the best shape possible to go the distance.

What support do I get on trek day?

You can look forward to support from our team of highly trained mountain guides on the day. And in addition, our fantastic team of staff and volunteers will greet you with a warm welcome as you arrive.

They’ll also celebrate your success with you as you finish your challenge, with a post trek reception and medal for every trekker to wear with pride. You’ll leave with stories to tell of your amazing adventure and the friends you made along the way, confident that you’ve helped Marie Curie offer vital care to people and their families living with a terminal illness.

Our Pandemic Promise

The UK Trek team are working with national parks and suppliers to make sure our treks are safe and are following Government guidelines. We’ll be in touch in the lead up to your trek with plans, FAQs and anything you need to know about your event and the safety measures in place.

If your trek is cancelled or postponed in 2022, we will give you the option to defer your place to a future date or an alternative trek or provide options for a full refund for your registration fee.

Please note, standard terms and conditions still apply.
